Lil’ Balikbayan is a Filipino Cultural Exploration Box series designed for families with children ages 3-12 who want to discover more about Filipino culture and heritage. The literal meaning of “Balikbayan” is a Filipino living abroad who returns back to the homeland - the Philippines. In this context, “Lil’ Balikbayan” refers to children of Filipino heritage in the diaspora who return to their roots through the exploration of our cultural enrichment boxes, hence our tagline “Returning home through cultural discovery”.
