June 12 marks the day the Philippines declared independence from Spain in 1898. In celebration of this special day, we are once again paying tribute to the homeland with a multi-sensory experience:”The Philippines, Delivered - 2.0”

Last year, the release of this cultural exploration box proved to be wildly popular so we’ve decided to bring back an updated version of it, hence “2.0”, and we are excited to collaborate with three talented Filipina artists - @manilamangodesign, @lilyjraz and @izzylaro - to bring you this unique experience box. We’ll take you to the Philippines through the 5 senses of taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing while exploring some of the official and unofficial national symbols of the Philippines.

Taste & Smell:
Experience the taste of Mango, the National Fruit, and the scent of Sampaguita, the National Flower.

Touch:
There is much to touch as several hands-on craft activities are included. Particularly, the Philippine Flag ornament craft kit which includes the rich textures of felt and the fun fluffiness of stuffing.

Sight:
Kids can color, build and arrange a classic Philippines scene including a Jeepney - the National Vehicle, a Bahay Kubo - the National House, and a Filipino Wooden Doll.

Hearing:
With this debut of “Desktop Tinikling”, kids can experience the rhythms of the Philippines’ National Dance by tapping and clicking together the mini Tinikling sticks to the beat of the music.

Through this fun variety of multisensory experiences, families will journey together through the Philippines in a unique and engaging way!

And not only is June the month of Philippine Independence, but it is also Philippine Environment Month - a time to acknowledge and give effort to the protection, enhancement and development of the country's environment. To honor this, an upcycled craft activity is included in which the mini balikbayan box that’s used for shipping is transformed into a Bahay Kubo dollhouse.

As with all of the boxes in our series, The Philippines, Delivered - 2.0 includes a Collector’s Mini Button Pin commemorating cultural exploration. This box features our Filipino Sun pin, available in 3 versions to choose from - “Filipino”, “Filipina”, or “Filipinx”.
